Anne MacMillan is Invariant's Chief Strategy Officer and a member of the firm's Executive Committee, responsible for firmwide strategic direction, growth, and long-term positioning. Drawing on more than 25 years of experience in government and the private sector, Anne shapes how Invariant grows, deploys its capabilities, and serves its clients across practice areas and sectors.

• Evaluates and advances partnership, affiliate, and acquisition opportunities that extend the firm's reach and capabilities.

• Advises clients on complex policy and public affairs challenges, drawing on deep experience across the legislative, executive, and regulatory landscape. 

At Invariant, Anne has helped build the firm into one of Washington's most prominent public affairs practices, integrating government relations, strategic communications, and advisory services across a diverse client base. Before joining Invariant, Anne served as Deputy Chief of Staff to U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack and as Senior Policy Advisor to Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). In the private sector, she was Director of Government Affairs for a multi-billion-dollar farming and consumer packaged goods company.
