Annie D’Amato is a senior leader in Invariant’s energy and environment practice, where she leads policy and coalition efforts with the Administration and Capitol Hill. She helps clients meet their business goals while addressing energy and environmental issues.

Crafting legislation and regulatory comments to enhance federal programs at the Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Energy, and General Services Administration.
Building coalitions across policymakers, businesses, non-governmental organizations, and industry associations to align business growth with environmental stewardship.
Before joining Invariant, Annie served as Democratic counsel to the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, covering water infrastructure, recycling, toxic chemicals, and environmental justice for the Chairman. She played a key role in drafting the Drinking Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Act of 2021, securing $35 billion for water infrastructure and $300 million for recycling in the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. Other legislative efforts include the Inflation Reduction Act, the Water Resources Development Act of 2020, and the Recycling and Composting Accountability Act.
