Charlie Truxal is an experienced government relations strategist who serves on Invariant’s National Security practice group. He brings deep Capitol Hill experience managing defense appropriations and authorization priorities at senior levels.

Focus Areas 

• Advising clients on legislative strategy, appropriations positioning, and engagement approaches with Congress on defense and national security matters.

• Delivering clear analysis of committee dynamics, member priorities, and legislative mechanisms to inform client strategy and positioning.

• Leveraging relationships on the Hill to inform clients of legislative developments and anticipate policy trends affecting their interests.

Prior to joining Invariant, Charlie served in senior leadership roles on Capitol Hill, including as Chief of Staff to Representative Kat Cammack (R-FL), where he built deep relationships with House Republican leadership, committee staff, and key policymakers across the Republican Conference. He also served as Legislative Director for Representatives Morgan Luttrell (R-TX) and Scott Franklin (R-FL), providing strategic counsel on defense, appropriations, and national security issues and helping advance priorities through the congressional authorization and appropriations processes. Earlier in his career, he served as a Military Legislative Assistant in both the House and Senate most notably to then Senator Marco Rubio. Charlie is an Engineer Officer in the Army Reserves.
