Chris Gillott brings two decades of federal and state legislative and policy expertise to Invariant’s clients. Chris advises across the board on issues ranging from health care and education to labor, tax, and appropriations. In an ever-changing landscape, Chris’s knowledge of Capitol Hill is essential.  

Focus Areas  

  • Providing strategic advisory and government relation services to clients on legislative and regulatory matters on biotechnology, health technology, Medicare, Medicaid, private health insurance, tax, education and workforce development policy.   

  • Helping clients navigate the complex legislative and regulatory landscapes to deliver desired economic value and organizational outcomes.  

  • Developing and executing creative strategies to advance key client objectives.    

Chris previously served as deputy chief of staff and legislative director to Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA), where he led the senator’s legislative and policy teams and managed the senator’s Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP), Finance, and Energy committee portfolios. Additionally, Chris served as the economic advisor to former Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal and chief of staff of the governor’s management and budget division as well as worked for Jindal in the House as his legislative director. He was also part of former Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison’s (R-TX) legislative staff.
