National security communications expert Claude Chafin helps defense clients shape strategy, simplify complex issues, and deliver clear, compelling messages to policymakers and the public. With two decades of experience advising Republican leaders in Congress and the executive branch, Claude guides clients through Washington’s national security landscape.

Claude joined Invariant after serving as both majority and minority communications director for the House Armed Services Committee, where he shaped messaging on critical defense issues. Prior to that, he was communications director for then-Representative Marsha Blackburn (R-TN). Claude began his career in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Legislative Affairs in the wake of 9/11, later moving to the White House, where he led a communications outreach team supporting the Iraq Surge.
