Prior to joining Invariant, Mariah served as a Professional Staff Member for the House Homeland Security Committee, where she addressed chemical, biological, radiologic, and nuclear threats. She also worked for two Members of the California delegation, overseeing their responsibilities on the House Rules and Appropriations Committees. From 2023 to 2025, Mariah took a sabbatical to pursue a master’s degree in strategic studies from the Army War College while traveling to 33 countries to study global governance and local cultures.
