Nicole Venable is a Democratic strategist with nearly three decades of experience in the private sector, on Capitol Hill, and in the executive branch. At Invariant, she specializes in coalition-building across tax reform, trade, health care, energy, labor, and tech policy. Consistently recognized as one of Washington’s “Top Lobbyists,” Nicole leverages her extensive network to help clients achieve their needs.  

Focus Areas  

  • Designing bespoke forums to strengthen client relationships with policymakers and third-party stakeholders. 

  • Advising clients on how to best interact with House and Senate Democratic leadership and the Congressional Black Caucus and translating complex business challenges into persuasive policy solutions. 

  • Crafting sharp, impact-driven messaging and executive engagement strategies to elevate client visibility and influence in Washington. 

Before joining Invariant, Nicole served as Chief of Staff to a senior member of the House Ways and Means Committee and as a senior congressional affairs specialist at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative. She also worked at two leading trade associations: the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. As a trailblazer in her field, Nicole also founded the Black Girl Magic (BGM) Network, a coalition of senior female government affairs professionals.
