Ryan Doherty is an experienced national security expert who uses his knowledge of the Pentagon, the House, and the Senate to ensure clients are positioned to execute strategies to meet their objectives and enhance their bottom line. He served in policy, management, and legislative roles at the Department of Defense and in Congress before he joined Invariant.

At the Pentagon, Ryan served as Chief of Staff for Irregular Warfare and Counterterrorism in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy and as Team Chief for Policy in the Office of Legislative Affairs, where he prepared witnesses for testimony and briefings before the Senate Armed Services Committee, the House Armed Services Committee, and both the full House and Senate. On Capitol Hill, he worked as a Professional Staff Member on the House Foreign Affairs Middle East Subcommittee for Chairman Ted Deutch (D-FL) and as a Policy Advisor for Foreign Policy and Defense for Senator Chris Coons (D-DE), where he oversaw work on national security policy, defense authorizations, and defense appropriations.
