Prior to Invariant, Sam served as a senior policy advisor to Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO) and managed the Senator’s work on the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee, where he helped establish the 988 suicide hotline and reauthorize key portions of the nation’s research and development enterprise. Before the Senate, Sam worked as the policy director for Senator Gardner’s 2014 Senate campaign and led all opposition research initiatives. He also worked for Senator Gardner in the House of Representatives.
