Teddy Tanzer is a technology and consumer protection expert who leverages relationships in Congress and the executive branch to drive results. He helps clients navigate complex policy developments and engage with key decision-makers in Washington. 

Focus Areas 

• Advising on data privacy, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity policy to help clients navigate legislative and regulatory challenges. 

• Developing and executing strategies to engage policymakers on consumer protection issues, including e-commerce, product safety, live event ticketing, junk fees, and sports. 

• Crafting policy solutions and advocacy plans to influence legislative and regulatory developments in the technology and consumer protection sectors. 

Prior to Invariant, Teddy served as Senior Counsel to Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) on the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Innovation, Data, and Commerce, where he played a key role in shaping technology and consumer protection policy. He was also Senior Counsel to Republican Commissioner, current Acting Chairman, Peter Feldman at the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Teddy worked as a law clerk and professional staff member on the Senate Commerce Committee for then Chairmen John Thune (R-SD) and Roger Wicker (R-MS), and as a legal fellow in Senator Thune’s office.
